Snipvr is an online multiplayer VR shooter for Meta Quest, made by ThooperCreative. This policy explains what information the game collects, why, who helps us process it, and how you can have it deleted.
We collect only what the game needs to run, save your progress and keep play fair and safe.
| Information | Example | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Meta account ID | A number that identifies your Meta account to the game | Meta, when you start the game |
| Game account ID | Your Snipvr player ID | Created by our game service the first time you play |
| Display name and look | The name the game gives you from its own list, and the weapon skins you equip | The game and your choices |
| Game progress and stats | Credits, unlocked weapons and skins, kills, deaths, headshots, longest shot, best streak, duels played and won | Your play |
| Match results | Your recent duels: who played, the score and how each match ended | Your play |
| Purchases | If we sell items in the future: which item you bought and when | Meta's store (we never see your card or payment details) |
| Voice | What you say while your microphone is on in a match or lobby | Your headset microphone, sent live to other players in the room |
| Gameplay checks | Your movement, hits and shots during a match, checked so cheating can be stopped | Your play |
| Technical data | IP address, device model, game version, connection and performance logs | Your device and our service providers |
We do not collect your real name, email address, location, contacts, photos or your view of your room.
Other players can see your display name, your look, your scores in matches and, on the ALL TIME TOP KILLS board, your total kills.
We use this information to sign you in, put you in matches and lobbies with other players, save and restore your progress, show scoreboards and leaderboards, deliver voice chat, prevent cheating and abuse, and fix crashes and slowdowns. We do not sell your information and we do not show ads.
These companies process information for us, under their own privacy policies:
| Company | What they do for Snipvr | Their policy |
|---|---|---|
| Meta Platforms | Sign-in, ownership check, purchases, abuse reports | Meta Privacy Policy |
| Microsoft (PlayFab and Azure) | Game accounts, saved progress, leaderboards, game server | Microsoft Privacy Statement |
| Exit Games (Photon) | Multiplayer matches and live voice chat | Photon Privacy Policy |
Your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where these providers operate. We share information with authorities only when the law requires it or to protect players from harm.
Voice chat is live: what you say is sent to the other players in your room as you speak. We do not record or store voice. You can turn your microphone off at any time with the button beside your watch or in the menu.
Snipvr is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Players must meet Meta's age requirements for their account. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
We keep your game account, progress and stats while you play, so they are there next time. If an account has not been used for 24 months, we may delete it. Technical logs are kept for up to 90 days.
You can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete the information tied to your account. Deleting your account removes your progress, unlocks, credits and stats for good, and they cannot be restored. Uninstalling the game deletes the settings stored on your headset.
Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may have further rights, such as objecting to processing or complaining to your data protection authority. We will honour these requests as the law requires.
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and, for important changes, tell players in the game.
For privacy questions or to delete your data, email [email protected] with your in-game name. We answer within 30 days.
